FOR ALL RENTALS
Where there is Mobile Signal, your pocket wifi device will work. Using secure cloud technology, your device will connect to the strongest network available to you at any time.
If you are not getting a good mobile signal then you will not get good wifi signal. Please refer to the coverage map on our home page or check online for mobile signal quality before committing to a rental in case it isn't the best option for you.
Inbound Rentals
Service Description: This WiFi device will work on most devices where there is an available mobile phone signal. Please be aware that there are places where there will not be an available mobile phone signal or a weaker signal.
Your WiFi package resets every 24 hours and anything left over at the end of each 24 hours will not rollover to the next day. You can optimise your connection on your device. The maximum number of devices you can connect to your pocket wifi is 10 devices. Please note the maximum rate are theoretical values and things like physical environment and network service of mobile operators will determine the actual performance.
Rental Period: You can rent this pocket WiFi for 7 or 14 days. If you require the device for 5 or 10 days for example, you will pay for 7 or 14 days. If you are hiring you will collect your device from a My NiFi Ltd representative who can meet you at Belfast International Airport Arrivals, or you can choose to have your device left at your hotel to collect upon check in. Both options are included in the overall rental price. Your data plan will be activated as soon as you turn your device on and connect your own device to it, then it will reset every 24 hours until your plan is over. You will then return the device before you return home. You will receive a prepaid envelope to return this device from a post office within the UK.
It may not be a possibility to extend your rental period because another party may have booked your device upon its return.
Please contact [email protected] to see what can be done.
If you receive your device and it does not work for any reason, we will endeavour to try another one of our devices if there is one in stock or you will receive your money back.
Limitations: We have had tests using this device from people coming to Northern Ireland from Canada and locals to test different phones out, as well as laptops and tablets. We have tested it in Canada and the USA, parts of Europe as well as Northern Ireland.
It has worked on almost all devices so far but has had an issue connecting at all with an older brand of *Nokia where it hasn’t picked up the WiFi Device at all when searching and also cannot scan the QR code on the device screen to connect.
*Nokia C01 Plus
Reservation and Payment: You can only book and pay for your device in advance online. You must also pay a refundable £50 deposit with each booking. You will get this back upon safe return of the WiFi Device, case and USB Charging cable. We accept Stripe as a payment method as well as Paypal. You can cancel your WiFi Device rental up to 24 hours before collection/delivery and receive your money back. Anything after 24 hours we will be required to charge you.
Device Usage: You are required to use the device appropriately and with care. Browse the internet safely and keep your usage fair. You must keep in mind that you are still susceptible to bugs and hacks using this device for your internet usage like you would be using any other internet package or data.
Electrical Device Usage Warning: Our pocket WiFi devices use a USB cable to charge up with electricity and must be used with caution. They are battery powered and must be handled with care.
